Mitsubishi i-MiEV Sport, New Mitsubishi Electric Car

Mitsubishi has introduced an electric car concept that uses the name of i-MiEV sport. The car was introduced at the Australian International Motor Show 2010 in Sydney. As stun car in general, Mitsubishi i-MiEV Sport is also using energy from lithium-ion battery. Mitsubishi i-MiEV Sport also uses all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, where each wheel is driven by different power sources.


Whitewash with a light green pearlescent paint, Mitsubishi i-MiEV Sport uses in-wheel motors in front and rear wheels. All motor then controlled by the S-AWC (Super All Wheel Control) vehicle dynamics system.

Having a petite design, the car weighs only 970 kg, but the i-MiEV is able to produce up to 680 Nm of torque. In addition to the S-AWC, the vehicle is also equipped with E-4WD system, E-AYC (Electric Active Yaw Control) system, ABS and ASC.

Using the behind design with the same layout as the i-MiEV usual, but the sport version uses a longer wheelbase to maximize interior space and maintain a low center of gravity.
