Stephen Fishler, salah satu pemilik situs, menyebutkan bahwa buku komik tersebut langsung dibeli semenit setelah posting harga US$ 1,5 juta.

Harga tersebut mengalahkan rekor buku komik termahal di dunia, yang sebelumnya dipegang oleh komik Batman edisi pertama (1939). Komik Batman dijual seharga US$ 750.000 pada lelang di Dallas.

Dilaporkan sebelumnya pada Februari lalu buku komik serupa (Superman) telah terjual seharga US$ 1 juta, namun hanya berupa salinan dalam kondisi baik.
